в 6 классе по теме «Животные в нашей жизни»

Тема: «Животные в нашей жизни»

Цели:

- обучающая – обобщение материала по теме «Животные в нашей жизни»; тренировка лексико-грамматических навыков;

- развивающая – развитие навыков устной речи; закрепление грамматических навыков;

- воспитательная – воспитание интереса и любви к животным; воспитание доброго и заботливого отношения к живой природе.
^ Тип урока: урок обобщения и систематизации.

Оборудование: папки с проектными работами по теме «Животные в нашей жизни», карточки с текстом «Животные в опасности», карточки с лексическими и грамматическими заданиями; плакаты, рисунки и фотографии по темам «Животные в нашей жизни», «Приют «Линда», «Вымирающие виды»; кроссворд.
^ Ход урока:


  1. Организационный момент

Good afternoon, boys and girls!

I am glad to see you!

How are you?

What day is it today?

Who is absent?

The world of animals is varied and amazing. Today we have an unusual lesson. We’ll do different interesting tasks and you will present your projects.

There are many animals which we know today only from pictures, others are now dying out. The time has come to protect our “lesser brothers”. If we do not act soon, new generations may know some animals only from a picture in a book.

We love animals, don’t we? Animals are our friends.

Now I want to give you an animal puzzle. If you put the word pieces together correctly in pairs, you will have the names of seven animals. What are they?

MEL, KEY, C, HA, HOR, OW, SE, BE, C, RE, CA, AR, DON, LI, AT, ON.

Camel, bear, horse, cat, cow, donkey, hare.

^ You are right. Now, find the hidden animals:

god, nolie, gerti, nomeky, omuse, rabe, rahe, tar, tac, bezra, sohre.

Dog, lion, tiger, monkey, mouse, bear, hare, rat, cat, zebra, horse.

The name of the animal is hidden in each sentence. Can you find the names?

Now look at the blackboard and do the puzzle.

How long do animals live?

Listen, please very attentively and try to remember how long the animals live. Answer my questions how long this or that animal lives.

Rabbits live 5 years, sheep – 12, cats – 13, dogs – 15, cows – 25, pigs – 25, horses – 30, camels – 40.

^ Now answer my questions: How long do cats (dogs, sheep etc) live?

I see you know many interesting things about animals. I want to read you one old English proverb: “He cannot be a gentleman that loves not a dog.” What does it mean?

Some boys catch and even kill birds. What do you think about this? What must people do for birds?

An animal that is kept at home is a pet. Cows, sheep, pigs are domestic animals, they are kept by a man. I think that some of you have pets at home. Why does your family keep them? How do you take care of them? Which pet do you think is the most friendly?

I am sure you like animals. Read the text and say why some of them are in danger.

^ ANIMALS IN DANGER
People have lived on our planet for many years. They lived and live on different continents in different countries. People depend on their planet, on the sun, on animals and plants around them. Today let’s read and speak about some animals on the Earth.

Many animals and birds on the Earth are disappearing nowadays. Many of them are in danger. Indian tigers and African elephants are among them. People have hunted and killed many tigers in India and a lot of elephants in Africa.

The result is very sad. There are few Indian tigers on the Earth now. Many of them are usually old, sick animals. Most tigers don’t hunt people nowadays, but hide from them in deep, dark forests. Or they rather hid there earlier, because there aren’t many forests for tigers nowadays. People have cut down many trees. And the question is: “Have those animals got a future?”

This is the sad story of Indian tigers and African elephants. But many less dangerous wild animals and birds are also disappearing from the Earth. Modern life is bad for them. The air is not fresh. The water is not clean. They don’t often have good things to eat and space to live. You can find their names in the Red Book. You can find the names of some fish there too.

People must take special care of them all.

We must save wild animals.

We must find the right balance between land, people and animals.

We must take care of nature.

Answer the questions:

  2. Why are some animals and birds disappearing nowadays?

  3. Can elephants be useful?

  4. Are only Indian tigers and African elephants in danger nowadays?

  5. Why are other animals also in danger?

XI. Подведение итогов

Today many people live far from nature, its forests and rivers. But we are part of the animal kingdom and of the world around us. Of course it is natural for a man to take care of animals, to study them and to be friends with them. But you should remember that there are people who are ready to pay a lot of money for a pet which only a living toy for them. I hope you understand that we must protect and take care of “our lesser brothers”!
